Quality time with Daddy2be

The rest of Friday didn't work out too well, after my doctor appointment I felt pretty sick and ended up staying in bed (after calling in sick) for the rest of the day.  The much needed sleep helped greatly.  I can't even remember what I did in the evening lol.

Saturday

We slept at my place on Friday night and had to rush out of here mid morning as Clayton had his real estate dude coming over to view his condo (he's putting it up for sale).  We walked to the market where Clayton had parked his car but to our dismay the gate was still down.  Ooops.  So we rushed back to the u/g to grab my car and headed to his place.  Once the appointment was over, Clayton and I had a serious discussion about what we were going to do about our current living situation.  I need a roomie for July/August and have one girl interested...and then I need someone to take over my lease in September.  Should be fairly easy right?  After that, we headed back to my place to have a suite showing.  I had 3 couples show up.  Clayton made me lunch and then we headed back to his place.  We made a trip to Ikea as he was looking for shelving units.  I ended up buying a drawer organizer and a baby rattle.  How random.  The rattle looks like a fish and he's super happy. Clayton named him Lobby cause his tail looks like a lobster claw.  After Ikea we went to BP for dinner and then tried to watch LOTR 1 but I started to get sleepy!

Sunday

We woke up super late, I accidentally had the alarm set for 9am but we some how slept until noon!  Ooopsie. Clayton made his Aunt Cora and I a lovely breakfast and afterwards we cruised the net for baby names.  Didn't really come up with too many we liked and we looked at over 400 of them!  Finally we left the house and headed to Main street for my much needed walk and shop.  There are so many cute stores along there but never really got a chance to walk the blocks and take a look.  I was suprised to see a lot of shops with very expensive clothes ($100 for a shirt..I think not) which doesn't exactly represent the image of Main st but whatever.  I ended up buying a cute summer dress and a wrap skirt that will conveniently fit my growing tummy and still fit me after the baby is born! Genius!  We had a late lunch (linner?) at Burgoo on Main which was decent food but super slow.  15 mins to get desert (berry crumble) delivered to the table.  We headed back to my place and promptly passed out enjoying a late evening nap...which was too good cause I woke up at 9 and Clayton at 10pm.  So now I gotta hurry up and get over to his place for the night.  Not the most exciting weekend ever but definately relaxing!

Baby’s Development

At 6 weeks pregnant stage, the baby is developing at a very rapid rate. The size of the embryo or the fetus is similar to that of a small bean. The embryo has a very big head in comparison to the entire body. The facial features become noticeable and one is able to see dark spots at the places where eyes and nose are taking shape. The emerging ear marks can also be seen on both sides of the head. The hands and legs are seen as protruding buds. The feet and hands look like paddles and the toe and finger formation can be seen in the earliest stage. The organ formation has started at the 6 weeks pregnant stage. The earliest appearance of lungs, liver, pancreas and thyroid gland is seen at this stage. There is marked distinction of the brain into three different regions. The heart is also divided into distinct right chamber and left chamber. The heart also starts beating vigorously at this time, at a rate of 150 heart beats per minute.

The respiratory and digestive systems begin to develop. The inner ear and larynx also start forming at this time. The embryo shows growth and development of muscle fibres and pituitary glands
