Tick tock

Obsessive with dates, March 2nd creeps closer and closer and I get more excited as each day passes.  The first milestone was the end of work weeks and the start of Mat leave.  Tomorrow is my last day in the VC office and hopefully in 11 months or so I can work from home.  I am happy that I am an organized woman, most of the 'getting ready for baby' tasks have been completed.  The nursery is now complete (the mattress finally came in) unfortunately Storkcraft has not responded to my two (2!) requests to get the brackets from the recall.  I will have to follow up but am not worried as Mason won't be sleeping in his crib for some time.  We were lucky that Clayton's sister has two young sons and we are getting some great hand-me-downs!  Thanks Faye & Warren :)  I also got my new diaper bag that I ordered off of Ebay, when I originally searched for 'diaper bag' the first 100 results were for Gucci bags started at a measly $600.  My jaw dropped, after scrolling through 6 pages, I finally got to the under $100 models and selected a nice one for less than $30 (came to $50 with shipping from the States).  Clayton has decided to use one of his MEC backpacks as it's functional and not girlie at all ;)

We also bought a car seat which has yet to be installed, I called the BCAA Traffic Safety Foundation / ICBC Child Passenger Safety Program and tried to register for their clinic this weekend but it was all booked up.  While disappointed about that, I was impressed that there are parents out there that think this is a priority as I do!  I opted for the following week drop in, hoping that the seat gets installed before Mason arrives!

Since I have around 3 weeks to take care of final details I'm going to use that valuable time to relax, get my car detailed, clean up the house a bit, relax, buying a nursing hammock, uh I mean bra and anything else I *think* need for a newborn.

Other than that, I will be 37 weeks on Monday which means Mason will not be a preemie if he is born after that time.  The Dr and I both agree that he'll be at least 8lbs, I'm measuring a wee bit over average and he just 'feels' bigger.  Struggling daily in the womb to get comfy tucking his feets under my ribcage (ouch).  I think I'm going to miss having him in my 'handy carrying pouch' and the big round belly.  However I (nor Clayton) could not be more excited to have our Son in our arms and will most likely spend every free waking moment staring at this beautiful little guy we made.  (sigh).

Can't wait to fall in love all over again.
