Crayola Bathtub Markers

As I hop into the shower, I stare down at the package of new Bathtub markers I recently bought Mason that he hasn’t had a chance to use.  So instead of doing my morning shower routine, I thought I’d doodle in the tub lol.

The package said 3+.  Mason is 2.5.

I bought these at Fred Meyer in the States, not sure if I’ve seen them in Canada.  They cost approximately $2.99

The package contains four markers – Blue, Green, Red and ‘Mystery Color’.  The package boasts that they can draw ‘bold lines’ and ‘dots’.  Wow, who was the marketing genius on this campaign?

So I thought I’d test em out.

First picture - on tile:

The wet tile couldn't hold the ink.  Even the dry tile ran a bit.

Picture #2 - on the actual tub.  Dry did better, wet ran.

Picture #3 - on glass. Did better!

Well as you can see, the markers fared a lot better in a dry environment which is completely silly since your child is playing in a wet bathtub.

But maybe you aren’t supposed to play with them while the tub is filled with water? As per this YouTube video.
