As Mason approaches toddlerhood in February of 2010, it will be the year of discovery for this little man. I have such high hopes for him and have said since he was born that he will do good things in this world.
2009 was his year of birth and he has grown into a very busy, smart little person. He is fearless in his adventures and always pushes his limit of what he can or cannot do. Before I had Mason, I always though that babies didn't really get their 'personality' until they were a toddler because they could communicate better. I see I am wrong as Mason shows us every day all the aspects of who he is and they are all full of expression.
2010 for Mason will incorporate many new changes to his life. The celebration of his 1st birthday in late February, the introduction of daycare in early March, his first steps and first words to soon follow after. Time has flown by since his arrival to the world and I have tried to cherish each moment and document as much as I could so I never forget all that he experiences through my eyes.
My hopes for my Son, is that he continues to be healthy, grows strong and learns that his limitations are only because of safety. I hope he enjoys the outdoors more than the indoors and keeps his curiousity for everything around him. I hope the giggles that flow from his sweet little lips continue daily and that his need to be hugged never dissipates. I hope that Mason creates new friendships by being exposed to more children through activity and that he learns that sharing is important.
