Krause Berry Farm

I look forward to reading WestCoast Families Magazine each month!  You can pick up your free copy at Safeway in their free magazine section at the front of the store or by clicking here for their online version.  At the back of the magazine is a listing of all the fun events around town.

Over the weekend I spied the listing for the Pancake Breakfast with Santa event at the Krause Berry Farm in Langley!

Clayton, Mason and I invited Ginny (Mason's Granny) to join us and we drove out to the Fort Langley area for a trip out to the farm country!  The event was dedicated to Liz Krause (Mom to Jared and Grayden) who passed away from Breast Cancer 11 years ago :(.  The breakfast was by donation and all proceeds would be passed along to Breast Cancer Research.  We had never visited the farm before so this was a great time to drop by, help out their cause and have some yummy pancakes!  The property was huge and had ample parking for all their guests.  There was a horse and buggy ride available for $2.00 per person but we were anxious to get fed!  We walked up to the porch where there was a little stand to buy hot drinks etc and to the right was Jared and Grayden cooking up a batch of yummy pancakes!  The donation bucket was quite full :)  Complimentary Krause Berry Jam (Blueberry & Strawberry) were available as topping and we walked into the gift shop to sit down and enjoy our tasty breakfast.  The pancakes were cooked just right and the syrup was delicious! Wasn't overly sweet and tasted very berry!  After our treat, we walked around the gift shop to check out their wares and left with an armload of extra Christmas presents!  Not only does the farm offer berries but there were treats of every kind!  Pies and cookies, candy galore! Candy corn, cheese and canned veggies too!  Very nice gifts for baby as well.  Santa Clause had made a special visit for all the boys and girls to have a picture on his knee!

We will definitely be returning in the summer to get some fresh berries and back in the Winter time to support their cause.
